International Master Chess Coaching Camp (NMCA) at KCT by Venkatachalam Saravanan, International Master from 19 to 24 November 2018. Calculations, Decision making, Combinations, Tactics, Positional understanding, Analyzing own games and Grandmaster games are the training areas of this camp.
This summer, at KCT we are conducting a Coaching camp for you to learn all the basics of the game and equip you to play in tournaments. Learners will learn how to play chess, write notations, different stages like opening, middle, end game and total technical understanding of chess. This will be an opportunity to enter the world of chess to be a professional.
A State Level Chess Problem Solving Contest, organized by Dr. N. Mahalingam Chess Academy, was held at KCT on December 3, 2017. This is a contest where contestants crack and complete a specific series of moves based on a composed set of chess pieces arranged in the board.
Chess Championship – Prize Distribution
Prize distribution function for Dr N Mahalingam 28th National Under 17 Open & Girls Chess Championships 2017 happened on November 1, 2017 at KCT.
The 9 day tournament came to an ecstatic end with Over 170 state level champions (100 boys, 70 girls) from over 21 states from India.
The National Under 17 chess Championship organized by Dr.N.Mahalingam chess academy is one of its kind after 20 years in Coimbatore. Earlier, the National Chess Championship was organized during 1997 at Coimbatore which was inaugurated by Arutchelvar Dr.N.Mahalingam.
